It was a good run, but East Davidson unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Providence Grove Patriots by a score of 7-6. The Golden Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Natalie Holt was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Kenzi Cribb was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

East Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Providence Grove, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. East Davidson is set to face off against their familiar foe Thomasville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Providence Grove will challenge rival Wheatmore at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
