After a string of four wins, Pinecrest's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs.

Carly Stayskal paced Pinecrest's offense, picking up five kills. Stayskal got some help from Kenlee Agrell and her seven assists. Emily Regtuyt controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Wake Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Evann Curry, who had seven digs and three aces. Curry is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Pinecrest's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Wake Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
