Football Game Preview: Middletown Mustangs vs. Clear Lake Cardinals + How To Watch

The Middletown Mustangs will square off against the Clear Lake Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Middletown knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Clear Lake likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Middletown was fully in charge, breezing past Lower Lake 40-6. With the Mustangs ahead 22-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 34 points the game before, Clear Lake was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were outmatched by St. Helena and fell 36-7. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 29, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Middletown's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Clear Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Middletown didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Clear Lake when the teams last played back in September of 2024, but they still walked away with a 34-28 win.
