League recap: Hendrick Hudson stuns Lakeland in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lakeland, who took down 220th ranked Lakeland, 23-19.

Tappan Zee was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to third in Section 1 A - 1. The Dutchmen vanquished Fox Lane 21-7 earlier in the week.

John Jay's dynamic duo of Tyler Keech and Jack Lambert proved tough for Greeley to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Keech threw for 305 yards and Lambert had 119 yards receiving. Joe Kells helped John Jay's passing attack out by catching six balls for 85 yards.

John Brophy was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 108 yards on five carries as Panas beat the Quakers. James Jackson also contributed to the rushing game with 41 yards on the ground.

John Jay's Keech and Lambert have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Keech has thrown for 305 yards this season, while Lambert, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has four catches for 119 yards. Brophy from the Panthers leads the league in rushing with 309 yards.

A big matchup in Section 1 A - 1 this week will be when Tappan Zee takes on Harrison. At the moment, Andy Didomenico's team is in third, while the Huskies are in second.

Panas moved up to 230 from 425 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Daniel Patronik's team climbed the ranks as a result of a 50-6 win over Riverside.
