Basketball Recap: Twin Loup Piles Up the Points Against Elba

While Twin Loup didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 61-23 stomp they got against the Elba Bluejays. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 32 points or more this season.

Twin Loup's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jackson Hall led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Beran, who posted 11 points and seven boards.

Twin Loup smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive games.

Elba's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ethan Lange, who put up 18 points along with six blocks and five boards, and Trevon Rasmussen, who had three points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Lange a new career-high in points.

Twin Loup has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Elba, they are on a 26-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Twin Loup didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-50 win against Newman Grove/St. Edward on the 31st. As for Elba, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 79-39 loss against Palmer on the 31st.
