The Mira Mesa Marauders had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Santana 60-16 on the road. That's another feather in the cap for Mira Mesa, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Ivorii Seals went supernova for Mira Mesa, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 13 steals. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Otero, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals.
Mira Mesa's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Santana, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Mira Mesa will be playing at home against Mater Dei Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Santana, they will square off against Clairemont at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clairemont is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
