Basketball Recap: Lakeview Charter Lions vs. Shalhevet Firehawks
Lakeview Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 50-14 loss at the hands of the Shalhevet Firehawks. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 475th, while the Firehawks are ranked 44th).
Lakeview Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Shalhevet, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakeview Charter will welcome Academia Avance at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Shalhevet, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pacific Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on December 18th.
