Volleyball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwest Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Central was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Southwest, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-11.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Northeast on the 23rd. As for Southwest, they will square off against Lamar County at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th.
