It was a good run, but Altoona unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the State College Little Lions by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against State College this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 on October 6th.

Jace Black and Guillermo Mejias scored both of Altoona's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Altoona's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10-1. As for State College, their victory ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 11-7-2.

Altoona does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for State College, they will face off against McDowell on Saturday. State College's defense better be ready for this one: McDowell have averaged an impressive 4.9 goals per game this season.
