Shamokin Area had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Milton Black Panthers 82-48 on Friday. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Case Litchy was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-9 to rack up 19 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in shooting accuracy (89%). Another player making a difference was Rylan Price, who went 6-for-15 en route to 16 points and four steals.

Shamokin Area smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in nine consecutive contests.

Shamokin Area's win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for Milton, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

Looking ahead, Shamokin Area will face off against Central Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shamokin Area knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 games -- so hopefully Central Columbia likes a good challenge. Milton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
