Baseball Preview: Odyssey Institute Minotaur vs. Tonopah Valley Phoenix

Odyssey Institute is 7-0 against Tonopah Valley since March of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Odyssey Institute Minotaur will head out on the road to take on the Tonopah Valley Phoenix at 3:45 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Odyssey Institute unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Kingman by a score of 4-2.

Antonio Torres made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with a home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Tonopah Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kingman.

Connor Hart put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Hart was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Dyllon Croff and Isaac Pasillas stepped up to the plate in a big way.
