Football Recap: West Monroe Piles Up the Points Against South Lafourche

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but West Monroe had no problem doing just that on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the South Lafourche Tarpons 49-21. Considering the Rebels have won four matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

West Monroe has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.6 points over those games. As for South Lafourche, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Looking ahead, West Monroe will face off against Barbe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels will need to watch out since the Buccaneers have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games. South Lafourche does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
