Recap: Centura Centurions vs. Ravenna Bluejays
The Centura Centurions fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 53-40 win over Ravenna on Friday. For Centura, this counts as revenge for the 45-37 defeat Ravenna walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Centura's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Gorecki, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gorecki has scored all season. Barrett Fries was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Centura is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-13 record this season. As for Ravenna, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Centura will be playing in front of their home fans against Gibbon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ravenna, they will head out on the road to square off against Ord at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Ord focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Thursday.
