Troup County's tournament run continued when they took on Dothan on Saturday. The Tigers came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 48-40. Those 48 points were actually the fewest the Tigers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Troup County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sheniyah Philpot out in front who shot 56% from the field en route to 20 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Philpot has scored at least a third of the Tigers' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Wortham, who posted 11 points and five steals.

Troup County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Troup County's record is now 4-1. As for Dothan, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Looking ahead, Troup County will head out to face off against Mary Persons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Dothan, they will square off against LeFlore at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
