Softball Recap: Winn Mavericks vs. Pearsall Mavericks
There's no place like home for Winn, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Pearsall on Thursday by a score of 5-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). Winn hasn't had any issues with Pearsall recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Mayte Figueroa was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect2-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024.
