Basketball Recap: La Salette Academy Finds Home Court Redemption Against Arthur-Okaw Christian

There's no place like home for La Salette Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 41-36 victory over the Arthur-Okaw Christian Conquering Riders on Tuesday. The 41-point effort marked the Lions' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Andrew Sick was the offensive standout of the game as he posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Marco Cruz, who earned eight points and three steals.

La Salette Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive contests.

Several Conquering Riders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyson Pflum, who put up ten points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Kuhns, who had seven points and five rebounds.

La Salette Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

La Salette Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-52 win against St. Anne on the 12th. As for Arthur-Okaw Christian, they will face off against Rantoul at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Arthur-Okaw Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season.
