Volleyball Recap: Thornwell Takes a Loss

Thornwell lost against Whitmire back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Saints lost 3-0 to the Wolverines. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-16, 25-11.

Jessi Pitts paced Thornwell's offense, picking up six kills. Pitts got some help from Chloe Wilson and her two assists. Pitts was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Thornwell's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Whitmire, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 3-8-1.

Thornwell has already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against GREEN Upstate on the 9th. As for Whitmire, they will challenge McCormick at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
