Softball Recap: Dwight Falls to St. Bede in First Game of Season

Dwight had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the St. Bede Bruins by a score of 6-4 on Monday. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Mckenna Woodcock was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Parker, who scored two runs.

While Dwight had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
