Baseball Recap: Elkhart Christian Academy Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Triton, Elkhart Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the South Bend Career Academy Trailblazers with a sharp 14-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Trailblazers: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Hayden Castro, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Cole Hummer was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Elkhart Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matches.
