They came out on top against Ellwood City by a score of 58-51. That's another feather in the cap for Slippery Rock, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why Ellwood City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Joseph Roth. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 34 points and 13 rebounds. Roth scored a full 66.7% of Ellwood City's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colten Crizer, who scored 5 points.
Slippery Rock now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ellwood City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
