Basketball Recap: Las Plumas Comes Up Short on the Road Against Yuba City + How To Watch

Las Plumas kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 60-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yuba City Honkers. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Honkers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Las Plumas lost, don't look at Nate Nichols. Despite the final result, he shot 71% from the field en route to 15 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marguis Causey, who posted ten points.

The victory was the third in a row for Yuba City, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Las Plumas has already played their next contest, a 68-35 defeat against Cardinal Newman on the 4th. As for Yuba City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-52 loss against Wood on the 3rd.
