Soccer Recap: Grand Junction Central Comes Up Short

Grand Junction Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Montrose Red Hawks, falling 4-1. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Grand Junction Central struggled afterwards.

Their goal came courtesy of Bryan Esqueda, which was the first he's scored this season.

Grand Junction Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Montrose, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season.

Grand Junction Central wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Durango on the 10th. As for Montrose, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Palisade at 4:00 p.m. on the 16th.
