Recap: Bosque Bobcats vs. Cuba Rams
In what's become a running theme this season, the Bosque Bobcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 69-33 win over Cuba. The victory was nothing new for Bosque as they're now sitting on five straight.
Leading Bosque to victory were Cooper Hautau and Josiah Wilson. Hautau scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, while Wilson scored 19 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Oliver Tumolo was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Despite the loss, Cuba saw an underclassman step up: Richard Lovato scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Bosque is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Cuba, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bosque will challenge the Lynx at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rehoboth Christian will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Cuba, they will head out on the road to take on the Sundevils at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in New Mexico (Sandia Prep is ranked 103rd, while the Rams are ranked 119th).
