Volleyball Recap: McDermitt Takes a Loss

McDermitt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wells Leopards. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Leopards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

McDermitt actually scored more points across those five sets (103-96), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 13-25, 25-21, 25-20, 15-12.

McDermitt's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Wells, they moved to 6-17 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McDermitt will square off against rival Carlin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wells is set to challenge their familiar foe Lund at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
