Football Game Preview: McMichael Phoenix vs. Walkertown Wolfpack + How To Watch

The McMichael Phoenix will head out to face off against the Walkertown Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McMichael has given up an average of 35.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

McMichael is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Friday. They had to suffer through a 74-32 loss at the hands of Carver. The Phoenix gained 223 more yards on the day, but it was the Yellowjackets that made the best use of them.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Trenton Leonard, who picked up 142 receiving yards and two TDs. Brayden Dalton also helped out as he racked up 114 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Walkertown took their contest last Friday with ease, bagging a 54-23 win over Bartlett Yancey. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolfpack's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 374th).

McMichael better focus on containing Jerrell Crawford and Nasir Conrad as the pair were huge in Walkertown's win. Crawford threw for 179 yards and three touchdowns, while Conrad rushed for 96 yards and a pair of scores. Camereon Cartlidge also helped with two TDs in total.

McMichael's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Walkertown, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

McMichael was dealt a bruising 38-6 loss at the hands of Walkertown in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Phoenix were down 32-0.
