Shrewsbury had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Nipmuc Regional Warriors with a sharp 3-0 win.
Shrewsbury walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10, 25-21.
Lauren Albertson paced Shrewsbury's offense, picking up ten kills. Albertson got some help from Gracie Hester and her 19 assists. Claire Troy controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Shrewsbury's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Nipmuc Regional, their loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3.
Looking ahead, Shrewsbury will head out on the road to take on Grafton at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nipmuc Regional, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Blackstone Valley RVT at 4:30 p.m.
