McKeel Academy came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Lake Wales, but Sebastian Perez wouldn't allow it. The Lake Wales Highlanders strolled past the McKeel Academy Wildcats with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 62-43 thanks in part to Perez, who went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Cam'Ron Davis, who posted six points and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

McKeel Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jamal Whyte, who had 14 points, and Michael Sams III, who earned 12 points.

Lake Wales' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for McKeel Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Bell Creek Academy the next time they take the court. McKeel Academy will host Bell Creek Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Lake Wales will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
