Basketball Recap: Aubrey Rogers Falls to North Broward Prep in First Game of Season

Aubrey Rogers had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the North Broward Prep Eagles and fell 88-58. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Aubrey Rogers lost, don't look at Daniel Coldiron. Despite the final result, he posted 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Timmer, who put up ten points.

Samuel Cano had a dynamite game For North Broward Prep., shooting 80% from the field on his way to 21 points and three steals. Jayden Smith was another key player, going 6-for-10 en route to 14 points and five assists.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aubrey Rogers will square off against Community School of Naples at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Broward Prep, they will challenge Pine Crest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
