Volleyball Recap: Immanuel Christian's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Immanuel Christian had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They blew past the Mojave Mustangs 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Immanuel Christian walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-6, 25-16, 25-21.

Ava Blakie paced Immanuel Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Blakie got some help from Neisha Schollars and her 30 assists. Blakie was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Immanuel Christian's victory bumped their record up to 15-16. As for Mojave, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Immanuel Christian will take on rival Lone Pine at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mojave is set to square off against their familiar foe Lee Vining at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
