Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Edgewood). They put the hurt on the Workman Lobos with a sharp 13-2 victory on Tuesday. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Lobos recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Johnathan Enriquez and Evan Davis were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Enriquez pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Meanwhile, Davis struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At the plate, Enriquez scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Davis scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Noah Ramirez was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Edgewood's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 2-6 when he doesn't). Aaron Magdaleno also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Edgewood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Edgewood now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Workman, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Edgewood will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lobos: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
