Preview: Helias Crusaders vs. Smith-Cotton Tigers
Helias is 4-0 against Smith-Cotton since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Helias Crusaders' homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Smith-Cotton Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
After soaring to a 42-point win in their last game, Helias came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of De Smet Jesuit by a score of 55-52.
Meanwhile, Smith-Cotton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 58-52 to Boonville.
Helias' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5. As for Smith-Cotton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-20.
Helias strolled past Smith-Cotton in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 68-50. Does Helias have another victory up their sleeve, or will Smith-Cotton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
