Basketball Game Preview: Stockbridge Tigers vs. Ola Mustangs

Stockbridge and Ola are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stockbridge has given up an average of 63.2 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Stockbridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Jackson by a score of 72-64 on Saturday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stockbridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shannon Glover, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards. That's the most points Glover has posted since back in November of 2024. Keaton Hall was another key player, putting up 16 points and six steals.

Meanwhile, Ola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 53-29 to Carrollton.

Stockbridge will have to keep a close watch on Jalen Watkins and Timothy Clark, a pair of players who had a big impact on Ola's prior game. Watkins earned 11 points and five rebounds, while Clark put up six points. Watkins also posted a block, marking his first of the season.

Ola's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Stockbridge, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Stockbridge came up short against Ola in their previous matchup back in February, falling 88-79. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
