Baseball Recap: Globe Takes a Loss

The Globe Tigers came up short against the Mogollon Mustangs on Thursday, falling 9-2. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Globe saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Layton, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. The Tigers are 2-1 when Layton posts two or more runs, but 3-8 otherwise.

Globe's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Mogollon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Globe will face off against Thatcher at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mogollon, they will take on Chandler Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
