Football Recap: Conestoga Valley Buckskins vs. Exeter Township Eagles

After flying high against Muhlenberg two weeks ago, Conestoga Valley came back down to earth. The Buckskins fell 41-34 to the Exeter Township Eagles on Friday. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Buckskins, who until this contest were averaging 13.18 points allowed.

Conestoga Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sawyer Esbenshade, who threw for 301 yards and three touchdowns. Esbenshade has been hot for a while, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last nine times he's played. Conestoga Valley's leading receiver Konner Fisher was Esbenshade's top target yet again, picking up 54 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
