Chippewa Valley took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Dakota, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Big Reds skirted past the Cougars 4-3. The win was some much needed relief for the Big Reds as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Cameron Metcalfe was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Chippewa Valley's record now sits at 9-11. As for Dakota, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Chippewa Valley will take on rival Utica Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dakota is set to challenge their familiar foe Anchor Bay at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
