Softball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Pueblo Central's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Pueblo Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Pueblo Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mariah Romero, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Pueblo Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Grandview, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Pueblo Central will head out on the road to take on Pueblo County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Grandview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Eaglecrest at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
