Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winthrop). They skirted past the Spruce Mountain Phoenix 4-3. That's two games straight that Winthrop have won by just one goal.

The win made it two in a row for Winthrop and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored seven goals over those two matches. As for Spruce Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6-1.

Coincidentally, Winthrop and Spruce Mountain will both be playing Mount Abram the next time they take the pitch. The Phoenix will host the Roadrunners at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Ramblers will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
