Volleyball Recap: Mortimer Jordan Triumphs

While Mortimer Jordan didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Good Hope Raiders by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.

Mortimer Jordan not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Good Hope between 18 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.

Mortimer Jordan's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Good Hope, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

Coincidentally, Mortimer Jordan and Good Hope will both be playing Pell City the next time they take the court. The Blue Devils will host the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 6:30 p.m.
