Football Recap: Cromwell Beats Mille Lacs Co-Op [Isle/Onamia] for Their Sixth Straight Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cromwell had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 23-6 victory over the Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies. The win was nothing new for the Cardinals as they're now sitting on six straight.

It was another big night for Brenden Gronner, who rushed for 41 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 139 yards and one TD. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August.

Another reason for the win was Cromwell's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Brody Johnson refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.

Cromwell's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia], they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season.

Cromwell will face off against Bertha-Hewitt on Friday. The Cardinals will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
