Basketball Recap: Huntington Park Find Success

Huntington Park hadn't done well against South Gate recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Huntington Park Spartans managed a 42-37 victory over the South Gate Rams. The 42-point effort marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Huntington Park's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for South Gate, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16.

Huntington Park will challenge Garfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garfield will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Huntington Park surely won't give up without a fight. As for South Gate, they are taking a road trip to square off against Roosevelt at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
