Basketball Recap: Johansen Beats Pacheco for Their Third Straight Victory

Johansen entered their tilt with Pacheco on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by a 66-44 margin over the Pacheco Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 72-51 back in January.

Johansen got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Johnny Chavez out in front who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Wilbert Gaxiola, who scored 12 points.

Johansen has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Pacheco, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johansen will welcome Lathrop at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pacheco, they will host Ceres at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
