Basketball Game Preview: Fairborn Skyhawks vs. Piqua Indians

The Fairborn Skyhawks will venture away from home to take on the Piqua Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Fairborn and four for Piqua.

Fairborn is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Butler on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Fairborn had to suffer through a 69-31 loss at the hands of Butler. While losing is never fun, the Skyhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 699th, while the Aviators are ranked 117th).

Meanwhile, Piqua lost to West Carrollton on the road by a 55-39 margin on Friday.

Fairborn's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Piqua, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Fairborn beat Piqua 53-41 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fairborn since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
