Basketball Game Preview: Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS vs. Burlingame Panthers

The Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS will challenge the Burlingame Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hillsdale is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Hillsdale ended up a good deal behind Half Moon Bay and lost 60-46. While losing is never fun, the FIGHTING KNIGHTS can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 605th, while the Cougars are ranked 139th).

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Burlingame took on Woodside on Friday. Burlingame walked away with a 53-45 win over Woodside.

Burlingame found their leader in freshman Lucca Maher, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 21 points and seven boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Maher has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Tapia, who posted 11 points.

Hillsdale's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Burlingame, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Hillsdale beat Burlingame 53-41 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Will Hillsdale repeat their success, or does Burlingame have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
