Football Recap: Evergreen Comes Up Short

After flying high against Swanton last Friday, Evergreen came back down to earth. The Vikings took a blow against the Delta Panthers on Friday, falling 50-6. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Evergreen's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Delta, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Looking ahead, Evergreen will be playing in front of their home fans against Patrick Henry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Delta, they will head out to face off against Bryan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Golden Bears' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.63 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
