Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Central Catholic Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Lafayette Central Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

One reason for the win was Lafayette Central Catholic's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-17, 25-15.

Kiyah Sturgeon went supernova, getting 20 digs and three aces. Those 20 digs gave her a new career-high. Embree Boutelle also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Lafayette Central Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They are 3-1 when they serve at least ten aces.
