Volleyball Recap: Mount View Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Mount View won the last time they faced Maranatha Christian Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Knights put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Golden Knights not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 4th (when they won 3-0).

While Mount View won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-10, 25-19.

Hannah Morgan had an outrageously good game as she had 29 digs and five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high. Peyton Fowler was another key player, getting 26 digs and five assists.

They weren't the only good server: Mount View was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups.

Mount View's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Mount View will host River View at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Meadow Bridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
