Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Rough Riders vs. Aurora Greenmen

The Roosevelt Rough Riders will face off against the Aurora Greenmen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Roosevelt is looking for their season's first win.

Last Tuesday, Roosevelt lost to Hudson at home by a 55-39 margin.

Despite the loss, Roosevelt got top-tier performance from Gavin Peeps, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Peeps a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Foreman, who posted four points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Aurora played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Tallmadge, falling 82-46. The Greenmen were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.

Aurora's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Roosevelt strolled past Aurora in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 54-37. Does Roosevelt have another victory up their sleeve, or will Aurora turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
