Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Akron walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Sanford Mustangs on Saturday as they made off with a 39-16 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by 23 points or more this season.

A big part of Akron's victory came down to the chemistry between Kolten Randel and his top target Jace Curtis. Randel threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns on only 17 passes while Curtis picked up 256 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Curtis really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 78 yards. Jakzon Livesay helped Randel out on the ground, rushing for 70 yards and one score.
