Football Game Preview: Tippecanoe Valley Vikings vs. Angola Hornets

The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings will take on the Angola Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Tippecanoe Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.

On Friday, Tippecanoe Valley got the win against Bremen by a conclusive 31-7. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Tippecanoe Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hunter Paxton and Hudson Shepherd.

Meanwhile, Angola might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Eastside who claimed the real prize. The Hornets fell 33-28 to the Blazers. The game was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Hornets couldn't quite close it out.

Tippecanoe Valley will have to contain Hawk Hasselman as he made an impact in Angola's last game. He rushed for 166 yards and three TDs, and also picked up 66 receiving yards and one touchdown. Hasselman got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 59 yards.

Tippecanoe Valley's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.5 points on average over those games. As for Angola, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
