It's playoff time, and Ursuline Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wahconah Regional Warriors on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Ursuline Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-18.
Rowan Luber was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 31 digs and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more digs the last ten times she's played.
Luber wasn't the only good servers: Ursuline Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. The Bears are 15-4 when they serve at least ten aces.
Ursuline Academy's record now sits at 15-7. As for Wahconah Regional, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.
